The German Academic Exchange Service, or DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst German Academic Exchange Service), was established in 1919 and is the most well-known Global assistance in the study of development educational cooperation.

The DAAD Scholarship selection program welcomes high school students with an academic ability of above average. Still, the program also accepts students with exceptional talent and are also members of the National Association for Special Education (NASCE) or other equivalent interdisciplinary organizations.
