The Ministry of Education of China has established the Chinese Government Scholarship – Chinese University Program as a way to grow excellent foreign talent and enhance the vision of China’s higher education system. Zhejiang University is accepting admissions for full-time postgraduate studies under the Chinese Government Scholarship – Chinese University Program beginning in 2021.
Scholarship recipients are not permitted to adjust their educational institutions, academic programmes, or the duration of study specified in the Admission Notice. Scholarship applicants who must postpone their studies due to sickness and return to their home country for further treatment and rehabilitation will be responsible for their own foreign transport to and from the university, and their scholarship status will be reserved for no more than one year, with the monthly living allowance suspended during the suspension. Learners who take a break from school for reasons other than sickness will not be eligible for a scholarship.

How to Apply?
March 31st, 2021 is the deadline for applications. Students need to log into the Zhejiang University International Student Application & Admissions System (Linkedin), complete the application forms, and upload the required materials. We will NOT process the application if it is incomplete, or if it is sent by email. You may need to submit additional documents if needed. The application materials do NOT have to be delivered in hard copy. We will not review or process the applications on hard copy; The winter break will be from January 29th to February 26th, 2021. Application materials submitted during the break will be reviewed after the new semester starts.
Eligibility
It is important that scholars meet the Zhejiang University’s postgraduate admissions requirements before becoming scholarship applicants. In order to obtain details regarding the entrance bulletins, please refer to those documents. Applicants holding bachelor’s degrees with distinction from one of the World’s 500 Top Universities in Shanghai Ranking or one of Zhejiang University’s overseas partner universities across the globe are welcome to apply.
The academy will authenticate the applicant’s information and process the petition via the CSC Online Application System for Study in China after acquiring the request materials. Candidates must return the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship to admission email if they refill or change their application details at the Online Application System after submitting application materials; otherwise, the university may be unable to process the application via the CSC Online Application System for Study in China.
