The Inlaks Foundation was founded in 1976 by Mr. Indoo Shivdasani to promote emerging talent. There are two sorts of scholarships available under the Inlaks Scholarship programme: scholarships for university programmes and awards for individual courses. The university scholarships are available for admission to programmes at leading institutions in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States that are part of the scholarship programme. While the scholarship is awarded for specific courses, it is also awarded for masters, MPhil, and PhD program in various subjects.
The organization will provide a maximum of US $100,000 in scholarships, which will cover the cost of tuition, a one-way travel allowance, and living expenses for the scholarship recipient. If the demand exceeds the amount specified, the candidate must provide documentation to demonstrate that they have the financial means to meet the excess expense. Conditions for Eligibility for Inlaks Fellowships
Inlaks Scholarships are available to those who meet the minimum eligibility requirements, which are listed below:
- The Inlaks Fine Arts Awards are given to artists who have demonstrated excellence in their field.
- Candidates must have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a prestigious Indian university.
- The programme is also open to final-year visual arts students.
- Applicants who do not hold a formal degree in the visual arts but have experience staging art exhibitions must submit a letter of recommendation.
- For Indian Classical Music, the Inlaks Fellowship is awarded annually.
- The candidates must have received some formal training in classical Indian music.

- Applicants must be under the age of 35 to be considered for consideration.
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree from an Indian university that is recognised is required.
